Pre-Disclosure Evidence Infrastructure describes the structures and controls through which information becomes identifiable, traceable, interpretable, updateable and machine-readable before it enters disclosure, reporting, assurance, supervision or market use.
The evidence environment begins before disclosure.
Disclosure is an output. Pre-Disclosure Evidence Infrastructure concerns the upstream institutional conditions that allow information to retain identity, authority and meaning before that output is relied upon.
The perspective connects primary sources, institutional processes, evidence formation, implementation boundaries, rights, version history and relationships across standards systems. It asks not only what has been published, but how an information object became suitable for consequential use.
The term is used as an analytical and institutional architecture developed by EMJ.LIFE and applied by Sustainability News Network. It is not an official term or adopted interpretation of any standard-setting institution referenced on this website.
Five conditions preserve evidence before disclosure.

The origin, transformation, review and publication pathway can be traced.
Authority
The roles that produce, verify, approve and rely on evidence remain distinguishable.
Continuity
Rights, versions, relationships and corrections survive retrieval by people and machines.
Boundary
Proposals, decisions, publications, effective requirements and independent interpretations are not collapsed into one status.

The architecture preserves the relationship between evidence and the institution that gives it meaning.
